School visits to the house and Collection are available for groups of Year 9, 10, 11 and 12 students on designated days (selected Mondays and Tuesdays) during school term periods.

Groups are limited to a total of 22 students and 3 teachers (groups may be made up of more than one school). Cost $6.50 per student.

When visiting the Housemuseum, please note:

  • This is a private family home - please respect it and the surrounding residential neighbourhood. To minimise impacts on surrounding residential properties visitors are asked not to park in Florence Avenue.
  • Guided tours (if conducted) are conducted in English.
  • Eating, drinking and smoking are not permitted in the house or in the gardens.
  • Photography (including use of cameras, videos, mobile phones) not permitted.
  • Do not touch the artworks, sculptures or displays.
  • Do not enter areas of the house or sit on furniture which has been cordoned off.
  • Large school bags and rucksacks cannot be accommodated. Small bags may be stored in the entry hall on arrival. Bags may be searched as a condition of entry into and on exiting the house.
  • Pencils (no pens) are permitted with maximum A3 sized sketch/notepads.
  • Do not lean against walls when making notes.
  • Teachers are required to remain with and supervise students at all times. 
  • All school visits must be pre-booked.
  • Please note that the grounds and ground floor areas of the house are the only areas available for wheelchair access or for visitors with reduced mobility. (The ground floor also includes accessible toilet facility) There is no wheelchair access to the upper level of the house.
